Program Overview
Legacy CDC was selected to perform design and construction management services in an effort to rehabilitate homes that were damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
The program aims to repair, reconstruct or mitigate damaged homes in Orangefield, Nome,Hardin County, Orange County, Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas. Legacy will provide housing opportunities, education, supportive services, and referrals to create stable, self-sufficient families in the after math of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
The goal of these services is to change the community and bring hope to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Work will include: Evaluating damaged property, Providing environmental reviews, Preparing plans, specifications and job cost estimates, and Administering construction oversight.
Hurricane Harvey struck Southeast Texas in August 2017, causing an estimated $125 billion of damage according to the National Hurricane Center.
The purpose of these funds is to facilitate the rebuilding and repair of over 160 homes for clients who fit the following criteria:
